We're all tired tonight since none of us got our nap/break today due to a friend's birthday party. We sure did have fun, though. The kids were terrific at the party and really hung in there, even without their naps. I talked to Andi before the party about not biting/hitting/grabbing/pinching our friends, and she was so good. She got in just a little trouble one time, which is outstanding for her! Nicholas was a good boy, too, and shared the toys he was playing with so nicely. They both ate their weight in pizza and cake, and both participated in musical chairs and pin the tail on the donkey. Andi was so funny when she did the pin the tail game--she pulled the mask down over her eyes and just marched forward with spunk and determination to pin on the tail. Everyone got a kick out of her.
A funny thing happened today. Andi got in trouble for playing with the TV buttons (again), so she got scolded and a little smack on her hand. She cried a bit, I left the room, and when I came back in a minute later, she was standing in the corner, punishing herself! Sure can't be mad at her for long.
