We were all sleepy today, it seems. Nicholas kept saying, "I'm worn out." and moaning a lot. Otherwise he was a pretty happy guy...although he and Andi fought a lot. It must be an adjustment for them to get back together. On the other hand, when she got hurt a few times today he ran to her and said, "Are you okay, Andi?" Very cute.
We reunited with the dogs today. They were delighted to see us, especially Piedy. Andi squealed with delight when the dogs got in the car, and Nicholas screeched, "Don't lick me, Penny!" Penny stepped on the keys that were on the seat, which locked the Jeep! Luckily I was able to open the back gate and climb in. I've been waiting for that to happen. The girl that works at Fido's Farm worked with Piedy to help him learn to walk on a leash better (desperately needed), and also to learn to control his barking. She gave me some great ideas to help with this at home.
The rest of the day we spent grocery shopping (the kids were good, so they got a free cookie from the bakery), playing outside, unpacking and laundering. It was good to get away, but it's also nice to have our pack back together. Now we just need our Alpha dog!
