Bottom Fingers

Today we met some of our Mom's Club friends at a new playground at one of my favorite parks. The kids loved the play structure, which looked like a big boat, complete with steering wheel and ride-on whales. We enjoyed the sun and a picnic lunch, as well as being with our friends.

This evening we had my friend Shelly and her girls over for dinner. Her husband is out of town during the week, so we both enjoyed each other's company, as did the kids. They played out in the yard with the bubble guns and spray bottles, and eventually moved to the hose. All three girls ended up soaked...and one little man remained suspiciously dry! Hmmm...

Nicholas said something funny tonight when I was about to cut his nails. He called his fingers "top fingers" and his toes "bottom fingers". Kids have such a fresh way of looking at things.
