It was another big, fun day for the three of us. Today we drove to see the Oregon Zoo with my friend Shannon, who lives in the Portland area. The kids did great on the drive down, which is encouraging, considering we'll have them strapped in their seats for a good long time next week on our way to Utah.
We saw all the big guys, including the elephants, bears, chimpanzees, tigers, giraffes and orangutans (my favorite). Andi gave far-away hugs and kisses to most of them by hugging herself and making a squeezing noise (mmmmmm!). Nicholas had a terrific time dragging his poor Aunt Shannon all over the place, but she didn't seem to mind. We did get a little rain, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Everyone had a good time...we hope to visit again later this summer.
