Today my dad took Nicholas to the hardware store and bought what was needed to repair our fence, which he did once he got back. What a relief! It was worrisome to have dogs and kids wandering back and forth between our yard and the neighbor's. Nicholas "helped" his Grandpa measure, hammer and cut. He sure loves to help.
We just worked and played out in the yard all afternoon, then cleaned up, ate dinner and took a walk through the neighborhood. It was a beautiful day/evening; we had a gorgeous sunset and a big, low full moon.
When we were in Jackson, WY, we took the kids on a big alpine slide. To get to the top of the hill we rode a chairlift, which must have made a big impression on Andi. Ever since we've been back home, she would get on the swing and say, "Up in air! Up in air!" and then get very upset when she was pushed. I finally put two and two together and realized that she wanted her swing to go up into the air like the chairlift did. Today, mom and I lifted her up into the air on her swing, and she was so tickled! That's exactly what she meant.
