We went to Tolmie State Park today on a sand-dollar hunt. My parents really enjoyed it and mom said she'd never done anything quite like that before. Nicholas loved it, too, except for the seaweed...he freaks out when it gets stuck on his shoes. We had to carry Princess Andi the whole time, because she didn't want to walk in the cold water. Our picnic lunch got rained on, but just a little bit. It definitely didn't ruin the day. And yes, we sure found a lot of sand dollars!

This evening we went out to dinner, then back home for a walk. Both of the kids were pretty wound up but overall did very well at the restaurant. Andi ate more than half of their pizza, as well as some of my salad and some green beans. Nicholas ate well, too. (So did the rest of us. Ha ha.)

It's been fun watching the kids interact with mom and dad. Andi's got my dad charmed, just like the rest of us. She's darn cute. He'll say, "Where's the moustache?" and she'll say, "Right there!" and point to his lip.

Today Nicholas made a silly joke. He'd sing, "abcdefghijklmno...broccoli!" Ha ha ha ha ha...he really cracked himself up. And apparently it was even funnier the 12th time than the first! Silly goose. It's always great to see him happy.
