First Carnival

We went to the fair tonight with my friend Shelly and her family. The kids rode on a bunch of rides, including the merry-go-round, a little roller coaster, and an airplane ride. They really enjoyed them, except for one that Nicholas had to get on without me...he bailed before it started, crying, then when it started up, he cried some more because he'd lost his chance! I was proud of him later, though, because he got on a different ride with Andi and didn't freak out. Andi only got scared on one ride, but not too bad. She was funny on the roller coaster...she just looked like it was something she did every day! Nicholas LOVED the roller coaster after he got used to it. He was thrilled. We wrapped up the evening with a summertime staple, hot dogs and hamburgers. Yum.
