I Naked!

The neighborhood fireworks display seems to get more extensive each year, and last night was no let-down. It's pretty impressive. Piedy was doing well until one particularly loud one, then he quickly slurked into the kids' closet! He wedged himself in between the doors, unwilling to budge and scared out of his furry little pants. Poor boy. It must be his least favorite day of the year.

We spent yesterday afternoon at my friend Shelly's house for a BBQ. We all ate our weight in burgers, watermelon, and homemade ice cream. When the other kids changed into their bathing suits, Andi stripped down to her birthday suit and pranced around in all her glory. She would approach people and say, "I naked!"

Today we met some other moms and kids at a fountain downtown by the capitol building. It's great for kids because it squirts water straight out of the ground in varying patterns, often surprising us with a splash of water. The kids were interested in watching it, but not in getting wet. Nicholas was pretty crabby the whole time (see photo above). Hope he's better after his nap!
