Nicholas' Day with the Guys

Well, it sounds as if Nicholas had an extra special day at the drag races. Our neighbor Bruce took him, along with another neighbor. He got to see the Army car, where all the guys there showered Nicholas with goodies because he mentioned his Daddy was deployed. He got an Army racing hat (signed by the driver), he met the driver, he got keychains, a bottle, stickers, etc. He got to eat a snowcone and hotdogs and watch the cars race, and even hugged some pretty girls! What could be better? Bruce says he minded really well, kept his pants dry, and decided that cigarettes are not good for him and that he'll never take up smoking. Ha! Bruce said the only problem was when Nicholas dropped his ear protectors under the bleachers...I guess he really lost it. It was late in the day by then and they just decided to go after they retrieved them for him. Otherwise, it sounds like it was a spectacular day for him. I feel proud!
