Today we went to the McChord Air Force Base air show with Pegan and her two kids. It was really hot out there on the tarmac, but exciting when we watched the Thunderbirds' show. I sure wish I could have captured the look of sheer awe on Nicholas' face when four of the jets flew over our heads from behind. That 5-second look on his face made the whole afternoon worthwhile! Andi was scared at first but then she started to find it interesting. Despite the heat and the long walk to the show, the kids were all really good.
Afterwards we went to the Old Town Buffet with everyone else in Tacoma. It was wild before we got there, then we came and added four tired, hungry, punchy toddlers to the mix! The table bussers may still be cleaning up the mess under our table, several hours later.
