St. Nicholas Day

Today we celebrated a modified version of St. Nicholas day, a day when children leave their shoes outside the door for St. Nicholas to fill with candy and small toys. Some people put carrots or hay in their shoes for St. Nicholas' white horse, but I forgot that part. Also, I was supposed to have them put their shoes out last night, but oh well! We did it at naptime today, and lo and behold, old St. Nick stopped by and left some goodies for the kids!
