Logan and Emma Come to Visit

I watched my friend Jennifer's children Logan and Emma a few days ago for the whole day. Whew! Two four-year-olds and two 2-year-olds will wear a girl out! But we really did have a nice day. Everyone was basically happy and got along most of the time. Some things we did:

• Played in the mudhole in the garden and got very dirty
• Pretended to be pirates (the boys)
• Pretended to be princesses (the girls)
• Pretended to be endlessly energetic (me)
• Had an indoor picnic at lunchtime
• Watched a movie (no nap today!)
• Chased each other at the park
• Did the "Hoky Poky" at the park (that's what it's all about!)
• Cleaned up many, many messes (diaper cream on the rug, water on the kitchen floor, grass in the living room, etc.)
• Got clean in the tub (boys first, then girls)
• Slept very soundly that night (all of us!)
