July 4th

Our little town of Centerville has a very old-fashioned feel, which is especially evident during the 4th of July. The kids participated in the Children's Parade, in which they got to decorate their bikes, ride several blocks (along with at least 100 other kids!), and enjoy a popsicle at the end. It was fun but I did fear for my toes with all those slightly out-of-control kids on wheels all around. We did all the other traditional 4th activities, too, including fireworks, sparklers, a big parade, and a barbecue with family.
