Mt. Olympus Hike

In early September Chris and I hiked Mt. Olympus, a 9,000 ft. peak in Salt Lake City. It was rated an easy hike, but it turned out to be quite arduous for us because of a shortage of water. We froze the water bottles the night before, thinking that we'd have refreshing, cool water to drink as they thawed out, but the temperature was too cool. As a result, we were able to sip about a teaspoon of water every half hour! Still, the view from the top was spectacular, the weather was perfect, and the difficulties of the day are already fading.
