Both Nicholas and Andi's classes celebrated Thanksgiving with "feasts". Nicholas' class made Indian headresses with feathers earned by completing various tasks, such as writing their phone number or counting to 100 by 10's. They also crafted paper bag vests, complete with bows and arrows or papooses. The 6th graders delivered meals from the cafeteria, which included turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and pudding. Nicholas was delighted and ate everything except the potatoes.
Andi and her classmates shared a food item from home, which made for an interesting meal of snack foods. Of course they loved it! They all looked so cute in their pilgrim hats.
