On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we took a hike up one of the many canyons near Salt Lake City. We dressed warmly and were therefore too hot at the beginning, but as we gained altitude and shade, we were all chilly. It was a beautiful place to hike, with boulder fields, a reservoir, and ice-covered streams. We hiked for a few hours, until the whining (a certain little girl was cold and tired) got to be too much and we headed back down. Still, we all had a good time overall and enjoyed the fresh mountain air.
