Sunday, July 18th: After a somewhat restful night's sleep (at least Clyde slept well), we had some breakfast and took a walk around the area. We had heard cows in the near distance mooing all evening and morning, and eventually a small herd of them decided to make their way right through our campsite. Luckily, we had Clyde the Cowdog with us. He got nose-to-nose with one of the giant beasts (actually just a calf), sniffed for a moment, then let out with a series of barks that was just scary enough to chase away all of the intruders. He got some "good boys" and pranced around dog-smiling and awfully proud of himself.

After the big bovine scare, we made our way to a nearby climb and spent most of the morning making our way up that. After packing up camp, we headed home, stopping for pizza on the way out. A great trip...except for the 2 hour traffic jam we encountered on the way home. Doh!
